Today we went grocery shopping so we could prepare food on our own. We got to ride on the mini metro it was so tiny and cute! But it was also a hassle because tickets only last an hour and it is really confusing. We cooked dinner when we got back; chicken with pesto. It was delicious. We went out after in search of coffee and gelato. In our walk around the city, Whitney found a street performer playing the flute. She danced along with to the music he was playing. It was a really cool moment because there were people watching her and the flautist gave her an appreciative hug after. We found our coffee and went and sat on the steps of the church. The steps are always so crowded with the Italian teens and college age students. We (Whitney, Caitlin, Tara, Cedric and I) just sat there in conversation whilst sipping our coffee. Afterwards we came back to our apartment. It was around 11 o’clock when we got back. There is a bar right below our windows and the people there were being really loud. Whitney and Caitlin were creeping outside of our shutters at the bar-goers and one guy saw them. He continued to look up at our window for a solid 10 minutes while Whitney and Caitlin giggled back and forth between narrations of what he was doing to seeing if he was still doing it. It was a funny moment. An account of my travels in Italy that uses as much humor as possible.
